The Hampton Roads Innovation Collaborative (HRIC) honored DroneUp in the category of Technology Small-Medium Sized Enterprise of the Year Award at the Hampton Roads Tech Expo on September 5, 2018.
The judges were comprised of HRIC Board and Appointees, who’s criteria consisted of overall business impact, scalability, growth factor and use of technology and innovation. Dan Bell, CEO & President of the Hampton Roads Innovative Collaborative, stated, “Of the applicants reviewed, DroneUp has an excellent application for public safety and law enforcement on a national level. The service model is scalable and applicable to a variety of roles from small to large. And, the use of technology is innovative. DroneUp has progressed significantly in the last two years.”
DroneUp was represented by Justin Walker of DroneUp’s development team, pictured with Dan Bell and Brad Scott, President & CEO of Cetan Corp in Chesapeake and Chair for HRIC.
The Hampton Roads Expo is a regional gathering for technology and innovation experts and organizations.
