Amy arrives at DroneUp as the Marketing & Communications Director with a solid corporate upbringing and an entrepreneurial drive. Prior to joining the team, Amy was the Advertising Director for the Aviation Institute of Maintenance and also served as a magazine publisher in North Carolina. Amy is passionate about securing the safety of national airspace for both fellow aviators and remote pilot operators. Her love for flying fixed-wings and drones, also runs in the family, as Amelia Earhart is her notable maternal cousin.

Ms. Wiegand is a leader. She is compassionate… with conviction and the courage to ensure standards are maintained at the highest levels. -Stu Bailey, United States Naval Officer & Chief Flight Instructor, Horizon Flight Center.
